It’s all in the Pants!
Yesterday at the New York Dance Festival the evening concluded with some excellent events, the Professional Ballroom and the Amateur Latin were terrific to say the least. In the past year we have noticed a very strange trend, some boys with good height and a tall build tend to look as if they have very short legs and during the Amateur Latin last night we finally had an epiphany!
A “Classique” Ending!
Last night there was a typical “Classique” ending to La Classique Du Quebec, with standing room only Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova performed what we consider to be one of the best shows we have seen from a ballroom couple and crowned World Professional Ballroom Champions.
Platinum Warms Up!
Saturday things warmed up in Miami. The outside temperature moved back into the ‘70’s and in the ballroom at Platinum Dancesport, the open professional divisions were on display.
The Art of Seduction!
You either have it or you not……. When it comes to Ballroom dancing some couples have the art of seduction down, drawing you to them and making you, if you’re a judge, bring them back over and over and if you are the audience keep looking at them nonstop. Last night at the Maryland Dancesport the professional Smooth was a perfect example of dancing seduction.
The Bold and the Rhythm!
Last night at the City Lights Open, the conclusion finale of the Star Rhythm Tour and “saga” ended and from a healthy quarterfinal at the first competition the “Colorado Star Ball” it was all down to 4 couples left standing that qualified.

The early morning has a pick-me up with free coffee, fresh fruits, and chocolate goodie bags for competitors and guests! The first half of the day was packed with a variety of Pro-Am events. Highlights are listed below:
Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
The Boston Dancesport Cup is a one-day competition filled with dancing and both pro/am and amateur events are featured. The pro/am competition took over the first part of the day and the day culminated with the amateur and junior events. There was no break and so the competition started at 7AM and ended just after midnight.
The Snow Couldn’t Stop Em!
At Nashville Starz last night it was certainly a matter of saving the best until last with the wonderful Professional Smooth Division that began with a 14-couple quarter-final.
