Food for Thought - Manhattan/Brooklyn

Alright we are back in New York again and this time we are going to concentrate on Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan.

Where to start, there are so many great places? The Chelsea Market is a great place to go for just about anything you want, lots of small restaurants that cover many cuisines for every appetite.

Right next-door is one of my favorite places - Buddakan. Great atmosphere and great food! Across the street is Club Tao. The Standard Grill and Fig and Olive are right nearby as well as my favorite Japanese place in America - Morimotos. If you can get into one of Momfukus restaurants, you will mot be disappointed but it is difficult. They are......

Noodle Bar N.Y. on 171 First Ave., SSAM Bar at 207 Second Ave., KO at 8 Extra Place, Fuku at 163 First Ave….. Keep an open mind. And there is also one of my favorites, Gato at 324 Lafayette.

I really could go on but we should move to Brooklyn that is fast developing as one of the great culinary cities. I have not eaten at a lot of Brooklyn places but these are the places I have heard of especially these first two: Olmsted and Aska. Glowing reviews about both these place.

Lilia, Robertas Pizza and The Four Horsemen are others. I hope to explore these while I'm in New York at the Manhattan Dance Championships!
