Our blog for Friday night at the US Amateur National Championships in Provo, UT, had the title – “A Night With Wow Factor!” But in reality the whole competition this year deserved that epithet.

Like the Breakers, the Biltmore and the Casa Marina, the Vinoy Renaissance Hotel continues to be a Florida destination hotel, where the glamour of the past (Henry Flagler years) joins the excellent accommodations of the present and for us in the ballroom dance field the Vinoy is a perfect setting for a dance competition.

Saturday night at the Vegas Open Dance Challenge was a very special night because the Professional Open International Ballroom event was dedicated to a Dance Legend whom we lost almost a year ago, Mr. Brian Puttock. The audience, dancers and all the officials gave huge support to Susan Puttock.
