Open Professional Smooth – Desert Classic 2016
The semifinal started out with 14 couples and it was brutal to select 7 out of 14. They were all good, although some better than others, which made it fun to judge. The first four stood out and then we had to chose three more and be fair to everyone. It was a nice final, so much so that at times I got carried away enjoying the moment.

The weekend of April 31st and May 1st hosted the Washington Open Championships. This competition was about caring, appreciating and giving. The organizers, Robert Woods and Lydia Petrigova spared no expense to give the participants and officials a weekend to remember.

Professional Smooth at Atlanta Open

When Keith Todd asked me to write the American Smooth at Atlanta Open, I silently said inside of me “Oh no” because some of the American Smooth has gone so way out that if you didn’t hear the music, you wouldn’t recognize the dance.
