The Professional Ballroom Championships division at the Empire Championships attracted sixteen couples, an unusually low number, but what was lacking in quantity was more than made up by the very high quality of dancing portrayed by those excellent exponents who did participate.

Ohio Star Ball Professional Ballroom Championships
As an adjudicator there are no standards set for you other than the ones you set for yourself. A while ago I was invited to judge a competition in London and the Chairman of Adjudicators at the judges’ meeting reminded us “to judge without fear or favor and without taking previous results into consideration.” Since that day, that has been the standard to which I hold myself.
