Open Pro Latin, Emerald Ball

Every year the Emerald Ball hosts some of the finest dancing in the country and this year it did not disappoint. All levels and styles this year started with at least a quarter final and ended with high-level finals in all categories.

The Capezio Kiwi Dance Classic was a huge success in Auckland NZ. This was our 4th year and entries were bigger and better with dancers from Colorado and Hawaii USA, Sydney and Perth Australia, and NZ.

I attend very few one-day events, but I had heard great things about Sid Pocius’ one-day event in Sarasota.  So when I was invited, I was pleased to see that my calendar allowed me to go.

The first San Diego Beach Bash was a complete blast, the “surfing USA” and Beach Boys party atmosphere separated it from any other event in the USA, while featuring some excellent dancing in a friendly and non-threatening environment.

USA Dance National Championships

This year the USA Dance National Championships in Baltimore, Maryland celebrated it’s 35th consecutive year and as always it was well attended with many of the competitors hoping to earn a spot on the team that would represent the United States around the world for 2015 and part of 2016 at the World Dance Sport Federation and Olympic associated events.
