New Orleans is one of my favorite places in the USA, the historical value along with the entertainment factor make it one of my favorite places to visit and so when I was ask to attend the UDC in New Orleans, before taking a breath I said “yes”!
This year the Open Pro/Am Smooth Scholarships were terrific, with all of them being hugely attended, it was interesting for all of us to know who would be this year’s World Pro-Am Dancesport Series winners in this very popular category of the Smooth.
The Hawai’i Star Ball in Honolulu, Hawai’i, was once again a major success even when they lost power and light for two hours during the Saturday daytime session, making some of the dancers a little should we say, “shady,” for lack of a better word.
As most of you know Hurricane Irma, made many flee from Orlando, Florida in the late part of the US Championships although many stayed and weathered the storm in the Swan Resort and Hotel until she passed.
After skipping a year due to another commitment, I was so glad to be back at the Can-Am DanceSport Gala in Toronto, Canada and to its friendly people that are always welcoming to their neighbors from the USA.
