Junior II Standard Championship at the NDCA United States National Amateur Championship
Report by Irina Suvorov
Action photos by Laura Johnson Photography It was an honor to be asked to judge this year at the US National Amateur Championships organized by Lee Wakefield, Curt Holman and the BYU Team. It’s always a great pleasure to be at one of BYU dance competitions and I think any dance enthusiast should experience it at least once. Where else would you see a Newcomer event with 157 couples or nearly 40 Formation Teams including Pre-Teen teams? Where else would you dance and almost can’t hear the music because of thousands of fans cheering for you? Where else would you see hundreds of tiny phone lights swinging in the air with the rhythm of Viennese Waltz?
